The term "Seer" means someone who can see within the future, the seer of truth, using the ability of the third eye, seeing visions, one who has profound spiritual abilities for insight and knowledge.

A seer would use all different aspects of scrying to be able to see into the future, using tools such as

The seer of a Tribal community would have great responsibilities upon them to use these tools and see the pathway for his or her tribe, the tribes heavily relied upon their Seer for direction and safety for their people and their cattle, this is practiced to this very day, there are tribes that still exist deep within the Peruvian Jungles that still practice this for their everyday living and will be guided by the gods chosen Seer.
There are spoken words within the Hebrew Bible of “Gad “ who was a seer, Gad was one of King David of Israel’s personal seers/prophets, some of Gad’s writings can be found in the Book of Samuel, it is said that Gad had many visions from The Lord (God)
Their are 12 prophets that are listed within the bible as, the term prophet means someone who has a connection with God to foresee the future by using different abilities, not just “seeing” a prophet will use all the same tools as a Seer but will also use sleep dream state or trance.
